Thank you for choosing SEK Mushrooms for your mushroom growing journey! Follow these simple steps to successfully cultivate delicious mushrooms in the comfort of your own home.
Growing Process
Incubation: Place the kit in a warm, dark location for the Mycelium to develop.
Monitoring: Check the kit regularly for any signs of growth or contamination .Once the mycelium has completely taken over the bag, Place Mushroom grow kits on a counter or table in room temperature with ambient light and airflow. (kitchen counter, dresser, ect.).
Open Bag: With a clean knife carefully cut an X in the front of the bag.
Misting: Lightly mist the X cut into the front of the bag to create a humid environment. At this stage mushrooms require high humidity. Spraying the cut X directly 4-6 times a day should allow for enough humidity. Once mushroom pins form, spraying should be changed to around the mushrooms and not directly on them. Continue to the spray around the mushrooms until the are fully mature and ready for harvest.
Harvesting: Once the mushrooms begin to form pins you can expect a harvest in 5-14 days depending on the strain. The mushrooms are ready to harvest as the tops of the mushrooms begin to flip outward. Carefully harvest them by twisting and pulling from the base.
Maintenance
Watering: Keep the kit moist by misting it lightly every day.
Ventilation: Ensure proper airflow by using fans. Allow the fans to circulate air around the mushrooms without pointing the fan directly at the mushroom grow kit.

Mycelium:
Mycelium is the vegetative part of a fungus, consisting of a network of fine, white filaments called hyphae. These hyphae intertwine to form a complex web-like structure that serves as the main feeding structure of the fungus. Mycelium plays a crucial role in the decomposition of organic matter, nutrient cycling in ecosystems, and the formation of symbiotic relationships with plants. It is vital for the growth and reproduction of fungi, enabling them to thrive in various environments and fulfill essential ecological functions.
